Carrie holds more than two decades of experience in executing successful public affairs campaigns and corporate communications programs for companies, industry trade associations and business leaders.

Prior to her communications agency career, she worked in network television news. From her very first career role as a television news producer at CNN's Washington Bureau — when it was the sole broadcast network delivering 24/7 global news — her love of storytelling flourished. Carrie spent a few more years in regional and local television news, including the nation's first digital newsroom, NorthWest Cable News in Seattle and then closer to home at Newschannel 8 serving the DC metro area. She then brought her skillset to public relations agencies helping clients, large and small, tell their stories through targeted campaigns and sustained programs.

Carrie's agency work started at global firm Weber Shandwick, where she joined the team in Washington to implement digital strategies for corporate brands during the launch of the internet and e-commerce era. Then, she moved to an independently owned firm, Dittus Communications, where she achieved industry awards for her work on consumer education campaigns, including the AAA brand. She was then recruited to Qorvis Communications (later MSLGroup/Qorvis), serving industry clients in defense, aviation, energy, automotive, housing and the nonprofit sector for 11 years. Most recently, Carrie spent ten years at Story Partners, a Washington public affairs firm managing communications programs for trade associations, nonprofits and corporate clients in the trucking, food, energy, healthcare, education and financial services sectors, achieving success for clients year over year.

She has served in communications roles on the board of directors at two nonprofits, including her family-run organization that provided recreation to military veterans and their families, and which now has transitioned to provide scholarships to military caregivers with the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) called the Pillars of Strength.

Carrie provides clients with sound counsel, strategic planning and measurable results in the current evolving and news-saturated climate. Whether it's to defend or promote a brand, Carrie helps organizations by meeting their business goals through a thoughtful communications approach.
